SAFE BY THE WATER – a family day with rescue services
Fun, education and experiences focused on safety.
The event is organized by the Public Order Police Service Directorate of the Police Presidium of the Czech Republic
in cooperation with the State Navigation Administration, the Prague Regional Police Directorate, the Žluté lázně venue, and other partners listed below.
In addition to demonstrations of equipment, rescue tips and skills, you can also look forward to the amazing KÁJUŠKA, who will light up the stage in a brand-new style!
Fans of water sports will also enjoy a special guest – Olympic champion in canoe slalom Jiří Prskavec, who is the ambassador of the Safe by the Water event.
A diverse program full of competitions and games awaits you. Each station offers a unique experience – and above all, plenty of fun for both children and adults. Children can look forward to an adventurous trail. Everyone who completes all stations and tasks will receive a reward!
You will receive a game card at the entrance. The trail is open from 12:00 to 18:00.

Become a diver for a moment! Blindfolded and wearing fins, you’ll search by touch for hidden objects—just like in a real diving zone. Can you recognize which equipment is used for diving or water rescue? Come and try what it takes to be a police diver!
K9 Handlers – The Ringo Challenge!
Suit up in protective gear like a real decoy and beat the clock! This speed challenge shows how officers prepare for training with service dogs. Come and try what it takes to work with these furry partners of the law!

Stay Safe and Confident by the Water
Stay one step ahead with us—you’ll learn how to help yourself or a friend in the water. We’ll show you swimming and rescue equipment, and you’ll get to try CPR like a real hero!
Water Rescue Service – Rescue Mission
How do you save a drowning person? Come and try a precision throw with a rescue rope! You’ll learn what a proper water rescue looks like and what equipment a rescuer needs to handle an emergency. Become a hero by the water!
Municipal Police – River Unit
Rescue a drowning person and hit the target! Try throwing a rescue rope at a target like a real member of the river unit. This activity is not only fun but also shows what a quick response by the water looks like!
Hobby Horsing – Stick Horse Riding Race
Hop on your stick horse and tackle a race course full of obstacles! Hobby horsing is a modern activity for all ages—no real horse needed, just the желание to run, jump, and have fun.

A jump into the unknown is not a game—the water doesn’t forgive. Health doesn’t have a “restart” button. BanalFatal! is an injury prevention project that teaches how to keep adventure from turning into tragedy.
State Navigation Administration – Try Being a Captain
Come and see a real river-sea vessel (SPS 2) and find out how things work on the water! You’ll try tying a simple knot, put your thinking skills to the test, and complete a small task.
Prague Patrol Police – Police Fitness Challenge
Try tasks inspired by real police physical tests. You can attempt push-ups, a shuttle run, or a full-body coordination test. Run the course and show you’ve got what it takes to be a hero!
